Oakdale Church is partnering with Bikes for the World , Olney Days , The Leisure World Inter-Faith Chapel and the Karen Rollings Team to collect bicycles during  Olney Days Weekend on Sunday, May 4 from 12:00 to 3:00PM in the front Georgia Avenue parking lot at Oakdale Church.

All of the bicycles collected will be sent to a village in the West African nation of Sierra Leone that was severely impacted by the 2014-2016 outbreak of Ebola. They will go directly to a bike shop that was created to help orphans and other villagers who lost parents and family members to Ebola. With a bike someone can travel to find work and make a life for themselves. Donating your gently used bikes will make a difference!

A tractor trailer will be in the front parking lot to collect bikes to be sent overseas. In addition to bicycle donations, we are looking for monetary donations to cover the cost of shipping the bikes. You can donate by clicking here , make sure to put "BIKES" in the memo

Questions? Want to donate your bicycles before the event? Reach out to Mary Johnson, Regional and Global Impact Pastor,  mjohnson@oakdale.church.
