Oakdale Kids

We want every child to know that they are loved by God and have a place in His family. Each Sunday, Oakdale Kids offers a safe, welcoming environment where children can discover biblical truth, build meaningful relationships, and learn what it means to follow Jesus.


We also believe parents have the greatest influence on a child’s faith. That is why our mission is not only to point kids to Christ, but also to partner with and equip parents as they disciple their children at home.


Oakdale Kids is during the 9:00AM worship service. If you plan to attend at 11:00AM, your kids are welcome to join you in the sanctuary.

WHAT to expect

New to Oakdale Kids? We know visiting a church for the first time can bring plenty of questions—especially when you are bringing children. Our Oakdale Kids team will be ready to welcome your family, help you check in, and personally show you where to go.



1. Check In


When you arrive, visit the Oakdale Kids check-in area in the lobby. A member of our team will help you register and check in your children and find the right classroom for each of them.



2. Receive Your Security Tags


Each child and parent will receive a matching security tag. Please keep your parent tag with you—you will need it when picking up your child after the service.



3. Head to the Right Place


Nursery and Preschool

After checking in, parents may take their children directly to their classrooms downstairs in the Kid's Building:


Birth–1 year: Nursery, Room 111

Ages 2: Room 103

Age 3: Room 104

Age 4: Room 108


Elementary

Children in kindergarten through fifth grade begin in the sanctuary with their families. After the opening songs, they will meet the Oakdale Kids leaders at the back of the sanctuary and head to their age-specific classrooms for a large-group Bible lesson and small-group activities.


Kindergarten: Room 109 (downstairs)

Grade 1: Room 301 (upstairs)

Grade 2: Room 304 (upstairs)

Grades 3–5: Community Hall



4. Pick Up Your Child


After the service, pick up your child from their classroom (see above) and show your matching parent security tag to the Oakdale Kids leader. To allow children time to complete all of the morning’s activities, pickup begins at 10:15 AM or when the service ends, whichever is later.

WHAT Your KIDS WILL EXPERIENCE

Each Sunday includes age-appropriate Bible teaching, engaging activities, and caring leaders who want to help your child take their next step with Jesus.


Your child’s safety matters deeply to us. Every Oakdale Kids volunteer completes a background check and Child Safety training designed to protect children and maintain a safe, caring environment.


Through Oakdale Kids, we seek to:

  • Help children encounter God’s love and learn biblical truth.
  • Equip parents with resources for building faith at home.
  • Develop caring leaders who use their gifts to serve children and families.
