Seniors

Oakdale-Brookdale campus ministry is located at Brookdale Senior Living in Olney, Maryland and is led by Pastor Robin Axtell.  We provide a wonderful opportunity to connect with and minister to seniors through our worship services, Bible studies and care visits to support residents and their families in Montgomery county.  

Pastoral care, bible study and visits have been found to aid seniors in building a trusting relationship with someone outside of their daily caretakers and family. The residents often expressed this as having someone to talk to, a friend and companion that they can share their feelings with. Pastoral care is walking with and being with seniors in their times of need to promote their wellbeing and strengthen them in their faith.

Residential Visits

We visit and build relationships within the Brookdale Senior living community. We walk alongside the on-site residents and members to provide spiritual and emotional support. We are available to address faith-related issues around illness or end-of-life. Every person matters and our prayer is to provide hope, value and purpose in this stage of life.

Pastoral Care

Brookdale campus is committed to providing pastoral care to our residents and families; whether you need short-term counselling during a crisis or you find your self feeling lost, without direction or overwhelmed. 

Hospital Visits
We visit residents who may need spiritual and emotional support during their hospital admittance.  If a resident or family member is interested in requesting a hospital visit by the Brookdale campus team. An authorization form is required to ensure the team member(s) have permission.

Funeral & Memorial Services
